Abstract

In recent years, solar power generation has gathered much attention in the field of generation and research. The aim of this work is to develop a simulink model for closed loop controlled interleaved boost converter and test it. This paper proposes a practical implementation of two stage interleaved boost converter for solar installation system. The topology study of open loop and closed loop systems with step-up conversion and step increase in input voltage are proposed. The modified two-stage interleaved DC to DC boost converter is modeled and simulated using matlab/Simulink and it is implemented using embedded controller. The simulation and experimental results of this system are presented and compared. The performance of the converter is compared with the conventional boost converter. This comparison reveals that the present converter system has the advantages of high efficiency and reduced switching stress.

Abstract

This paper presents a new bidirectional dc-dc PWM converter with a steep voltage conversion ratio. The converter makes use of coupled inductors to step up small dc voltage to large ones or to step down large dc voltages to small ones. All switches operate with zero-voltages witching due to a very simple auxiliary circuit that contains a single active switch and a few passive elements. This converter operation is explained in detail and analyzed, and a systematic design procedure of Neural Controller is derived. The feasibility of the converter is confirmed with results obtained from the MATLAB 7.3 VERSION. The efficiency is achieved of 94% Closed loop response is very good dynamic Response.
